The Ministry of Ecology and Environment has recently released 8 national environmental protection standards, including technical guidelines for calculating pollution source intensity in 8 industries including textile printing and dyeing, boiler, pharmaceutical, pesticide manufacturing, fertilizer, leather, sugar, and starch. The above standards will be implemented from March 1, 2019.
The 8 standards respectively stipulate the procedures, contents, methods, and requirements for calculating the intensity of wastewater, exhaust gas, noise, and solid waste pollution sources in 8 industries, in order to improve the technical support system for environmental management of fixed pollution sources and guide and standardize the calculation of the intensity of fixed pollution sources.
The Technical Guidelines for Pollution Source Strength Accounting in the Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry are applicable to the source strength accounting of new (renovation, expansion) construction projects and existing industrial pollution sources in the textile printing and dyeing industry, as well as the source strength accounting during normal and abnormal emissions.
The Technical Guidelines for Calculation of Pollution Source Strength for Boilers are applicable to the calculation of pollution source strength for new (renovation, expansion) projects of new boilers and existing pollution sources in accordance with GB 13271, as well as the calculation of source strength during normal and abnormal emissions.
The Technical Guide for Pollution Source Intensity Accounting Pharmaceutical Industry is applicable to the source intensity accounting of new (modified or expanded) engineering pollution sources and existing industrial pollution sources in the environmental impact assessment of industrial construction projects such as chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, biological and biochemical products manufacturing, pure drug packaging and compounding, traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations manufacturing, Chinese herbal decoction piece processing, as well as the source intensity accounting of normal and abnormal emissions.
The Technical Guidelines for Pollution Source Strength Accounting in the Tanning Industry are applicable to the source strength accounting of new (modified, expanded) engineering pollution sources and existing engineering pollution sources using cowhide, sheepskin, and pigskin as raw materials in the leather industry, as well as the source strength accounting during normal and abnormal emissions.
