See Details1. Sealing structure design
1. Demand analysis
It is necessary to clarify the specific usage scenarios and requirements of FRP Tank, including the properties of the storage medium (such as corrosiveness, temperature, pressure, etc.), the use environment (such as outdoor, indoor, temperature changes, etc.) and the operating conditions (such as frequent switching, vibration, etc.). These factors will directly affect the design of the sealing structure.
2. Structural design principles
Sealing surface design: Ensure that the sealing surface is flat and smooth, without protrusions or depressions to reduce the risk of leakage. At the same time, considering the impact of the medium on the sealing surface, select appropriate materials or coatings to enhance corrosion resistance.
Fastening method: According to the size, weight and ease of operation of the FRP Tank, select a suitable fastening method, such as bolt fastening, clamp connection or welding. Ensure that the fastening force is evenly distributed to avoid leakage caused by local stress concentration.
Elastic element: At the joints that need to be sealed, elastic elements (such as O-rings, sealing rings, etc.) are used to compensate for manufacturing errors, installation errors and deformation caused by medium pressure fluctuations to ensure long-term sealing effect.
Redundant design: Redundant design is adopted in key parts, such as double sealing structure, to improve the reliability and safety of the system.
3. Simulation and testing
Use computer simulation technology to simulate and analyze the sealing structure and predict its performance under different working conditions. At the same time, physical tests, including pressure testing, leakage detection, etc., are carried out to verify the actual effect of the sealing structure.
2. Material selection
1. Sealing material
Corrosion resistance: Select suitable sealing materials according to the properties of the storage medium. For example, for highly corrosive media, high-performance materials such as fluororubber and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) can be selected.
Elasticity and recovery: The sealing material should have good elasticity and recovery, and can quickly return to its original shape after being subjected to pressure or deformation to maintain the sealing effect.
Temperature adaptability: Consider the temperature changes in the use environment and select sealing materials that can remain stable within the working temperature range.
2. FRP material
Resin matrix: Select a resin with good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties as the matrix material. Commonly used are epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, etc.
Reinforcement material: Glass fiber is a commonly used reinforcement material in FRP Tank, and its modulus and strength have an important influence on the overall performance of the tank. Glass fibers of different specifications and types can be selected for reinforcement as needed.
Interface treatment: Ensure that the interface between the resin and the reinforcement material is well bonded to avoid voids or delamination. This usually requires appropriate interface treatment agents or processes to achieve.
3. Compatibility test
After selecting the sealing material and FRP material, a compatibility test is performed to verify the interaction between them. This includes observing whether the materials react chemically after contact, whether they affect each other's performance, etc. Ensure that the selected materials can maintain stable and reliable sealing performance in long-term use.
Through reasonable sealing structure design and material selection, it can ensure that FRP Tank maintains excellent sealing and pressure resistance in complex and changing use environments. This not only helps to improve the safety and reliability of the tank, but also prolongs its service life and reduces maintenance costs. Therefore, when designing and manufacturing FRP Tank, the two key links of sealing structure design and material selection should be highly valued.
